About Sanya

Sanya is the southernmost city on Hainan Island, and one of the four prefecture-level cities of Hainan Province, in Southeast China. The city is renowned for its tropical climate and has emerged as a popular tourist destination, also serving as the training site of the Chinese national beach volleyball team. The city has become known as "China's Florida".

Tsinghua Sanya International Mathematics Forum (TSIMF) is initiated by Professor Shing-Tung Yau, a Harvard Profesor and winner of the Fields Award. With the support of the Central Government, Hainan Province and Sanya City, TSIMF is founded in 201x as an international academic conference center. More than 60 international conferences have been held at TSIMF in the past three years.

Sanya Phoenix International Airport

Sanya Phoenix International Airport is an airport serving the city of Sanya in Hainan, the southernmost province of China. It is located about 15 km (9 mi) northwest of the city center. Its route destination includes the UK, Singapore, South Korea, etc. Overseas guests can transfer through Hong Kong, Guangzhou, SHnaghai or Beijing.

TSIMF is located in northwestern Phoenix Ridge mountains, adjacent to Sanya Phoenix International Airport. The AI Forum provides pick-up service for all participants.


Visa application
